What do the timer and coin mean?
The timer tracks how long you take to answer the question. Your completion time determines the speed coin you earn for that question.
How do I submit my answer?
Enter your answer in the answer box and click Submit. Your answer will be marked instantly, and the correct answer and solution will be displayed.
How do I enter mathematical symbols in my answer?
If a question requires mathematical symbols (such as fractions, exponents or ?), click the ? button beside the answer box to open the symbol keyboard. Select the required symbol, enter your answer and click Insert to place it into the answer box.
How do I answer a question?
To answer a question:
- Read the question carefully.
- Enter your answer in the answer box.
- Click Submit to check your answer instantly.
What is the Question Attempt page?
The Question Attempt page is where students attempt generated question variations. Students can enter their answer, monitor their time, track their attempts and submit their answer for instant marking.
What do the pin icons mean?
The pin icons help students organise questions for practice and revision.
- Pin to Do β Save questions to practise later.
- Pin to Ask β Save questions to discuss with a parent, teacher or tutor.
- Favourite β Save useful questions for quick access and future revision.
What does the Video button do?
The Video button opens a step-by-step video explanation for the selected master question (where available). It helps students understand how and why a question is solved correctly.

What does the Generate New button do?
Generate New creates a new variation of the same master question, allowing students to practise the same concept repeatedly with different numbers or scenarios.

- Provides unlimited targeted practice.
- Builds confidence and mastery instead of memorising answers.
What do the question details mean?
Each master question displays useful information to help you choose the right questions for practice.
- Academic Level β Shows the Primary level selected, from Primary 1 to Primary 6.
- Level 1 β Basic difficulty.
- Level 2 β Intermediate difficulty.
- Level 3 β Advanced difficulty.
- PSLE β Indicates that the question is a PSLE question or is based on a PSLE question.
- Marks β Shows the marks allocated to the question.
- Grey Tags β Clickable tags that show the concepts, and problem-solving strategies tested in the question.
- Question Code β A unique reference code for the master question.
- Purple Jewel β Answered correctly on the first attempt.
- Gold, Silver and Bronze Coins β Show the studentβs speed achievement for that master question.
- Background Colour β Green means the latest attempt was correct, pink means the latest attempt was incorrect, and white means the question has not been attempted.
Can I search using multiple tags?
Yes. You can use the search bar to combine clickable tags and typed keywords to narrow your search.

- To add multiple keywords, type a keyword and press Enter before entering the next keyword.
- Adjust filters such as Topic, Marks, Question Status or With Videos if required.
- Click the Search (??) button to display master questions that match all your selected tags, keywords and filters.
Can I click the grey tags?
Yes. Clicking a grey tag automatically adds it to the search box. You can then:
- Add more tags.
- Adjust other search filters.
- Click the Search (??) button to find similar master questions.
What do the grey tags mean?
The grey tags help you identify the knowledge and techniques tested in each master question. They may include:
- Concepts
- Problem-solving strategies
What is the "With Videos" filter?
The With Videos filter displays only master questions that include video explanations. This is useful when your child wants to:
- Learn a new concept.
- Understand the correct solving method.
- Review difficult questions.
- Learn with step-by-step video explanations.
How do I search for questions?
You can quickly find the questions you need by:
- Typing one or more keywords into the search box.
- To search using multiple keywords, type a keyword and press Enter before entering the next keyword.
- Typing PSLE to search for PSLE questions.
- Typing Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 to search for questions of a specific difficulty level.
- Combining keywords with filters such as Topic, Marks and Question Status.
How do I change the academic level?
Use the Academic Level dropdown at the top of the page to select the student's current Primary level (P1βP6). The Question Bank will automatically display questions that are appropriate for the selected level.
How do I use the Question Bank?
To use the Question Bank:
- Choose a topic, concept or other filters.
- Browse the sample master questions to find the question type you want to practise.
- Click Generate New to create a new question variation for your attempt.
- Watch the video explanation if you need help (where available).
- Save useful questions using the pin icons for future practice or review.
What is the Question Bank?
The Question Bank is the main practice page in iSchool. It allows students to:
- Practise thousands of PSLE-style master questions.
- Filter questions by topic, concept, marks and difficulty level.
- Search for questions using keywords.
- Generate unlimited variations of the same question type.
- Learn with step-by-step video explanations.
How should a student maintain excellence (90β100 Marks / AL1) using iSchool?
Students who are maintaining excellence should focus on sustaining high performance while preparing for the most challenging examination questions.
- Practise mainly 4-mark and 5-mark questions (Difficulty Level 3 Advanced).
- Complete Level 3 Focused Practice worksheets across all Topics and Concepts until your child can consistently achieve full marks on the first attempt.
- If your child is in Primary 6, also practise PSLE-tagged questions at the appropriate mark and difficulty level.
- Attempt the most challenging timed exams regularly, especially as school examinations approach.
- Use Generate New to expose your child to new question variations and avoid memorising answers.
- Review Exam Reports carefully to eliminate even minor mistakes and maintain excellent time management.
- Aim for consistent accuracy while maintaining exam speed under examination conditions.
How should a student refine exam skills (75β89 Marks / AL2βAL4) using iSchool?
Students who are refining their exam skills should focus on solving more challenging questions while improving speed, accuracy and exam technique.
- Focus on weaker Topics and Concepts identified in Reports.
- Practise mainly 3-mark, 4-mark and selected 5-mark questions (Difficulty Levels 2β3).
- Complete Level 2 and Level 3 Focused Practice worksheets to strengthen weaker Topics and Concepts.
- Use Generate New to improve transfer of learning across different question variations.
- If your child is in Primary 6, also practise PSLE-tagged questions at the appropriate mark and difficulty level.
- Attempt timed exams regularly, increasing the frequency as school examinations approach.
- Use Exam Reports to identify recurring mistakes, improve time management and refine exam strategies.
How should a student strengthen understanding (45β74 Marks / AL5βAL6) using iSchool?
Students who are strengthening their understanding should focus on closing learning gaps while improving confidence and consistency.
- Use Reports to identify weaker Topics and Concepts.
- Practise mainly 2-mark and 3-mark questions (Level 1β2).
- Students scoring around 60β74 marks can also attempt selected Level 3 questions in stronger Topics and Concepts.
- Use Generate New to practise different question variations until the solving method becomes familiar.
- Complete Level 1 and Level 2 Focused Practice worksheets to strengthen weaker Topics and Concepts. Students scoring around 60β74 marks may also attempt selected Level 3 worksheets in stronger areas.
- If your child is in Primary 6, also practise PSLE-tagged questions at the same mark and difficulty level to become familiar with PSLE question types and wording.
- Attempt timed exams regularly, increasing the frequency as school examinations approach to build exam confidence, improve time management and identify areas for improvement.
