Q
My child keeps forgetting what they have learnt. What can they do?
A
Forgetting is a normal part of learning. Regular revision and repeated practice help move concepts into long-term memory.
- Avoid completing many questions once and never revisiting them.
- Reattempt the same Concept after a few days using Generate New.
- Use short, spaced practice sessions of 30–45 minutes, spread across several days each week, instead of one long revision session.
- Mix previously learnt Topics and Concepts into Focused Practice worksheets instead of revising only new content.
- Encourage your child to solve questions without referring to notes or solutions first.
- Use Revision Notes and Video Explanations only after your child has attempted the questions independently.
- Review the Reports page weekly to identify Topics and Concepts that need further revision.
- Continue revisiting weaker Concepts until your child can solve similar question types confidently without help.
- Repeated retrieval over time strengthens long-term memory and improves recall during exams.
