Q
How can parents help even if they are not good at Math?
A
You do not need to be a Math expert to help your child improve. By encouraging consistent practice and making good use of iSchool's learning tools, you can play an important role in your child's progress.
- Use Reports to monitor weak Topics, Concepts and repeated mistakes.
- Help your child maintain a regular practice routine instead of cramming before exams.
- Encourage your child to use Video Explanations and Revision Notes instead of relying solely on your explanations.
- Assign suitable Focused Practice worksheets based on the Reports.
- Ask your child to explain how they solved the question in their own words.
- Encourage your child to use Generate New after mistakes to practise different variations of the same question type until they can solve them independently.
- Praise consistency, effort and improvement to build confidence and motivation.
- Seek additional support from a tutor only if your child continues to struggle after repeated guided practice.
